Kraus Anderson teamed up with Rachel Contracting for the site work on the construction of a new 32,500 SF cabinet manufacturing facility and associated parking lot. The foundations for the new building are primarily a monolithic slab except the shipping/receiving area. This area has frost depth footings due to the lay of the land and construction of a loading dock. Although the site is primarily a fill site, there was some building excavation. Placement of high density rigid foam at the building perimeter was necessary. The site work included a new sanitary service, new water service utilizing an existing well, and a storm system including piping and a large clay lined storm pond. Rachel is also responsible for sidewalks, paving and parking lot striping, and a modular block retaining wall.
