Rachel teamed up with the YMCA and McGough Construction to provide both the demolition and earthwork services for the new YMCA center in the Midway area of St. Paul. Crews cleared the way by demolishing the existing building on the site and then performed the excavation and grading for the new building. There were a few challenges with some tight property boundaries. In addition, Rachel utilized existing foundations from the old building and retaining wall block to shore the East side of the property along Wheeler. This job entailed good communication efforts with other trades to properly construct the underground portion of the project. An infiltration pond and multiple retaining walls were also installed Fall 2015.
