The Meadows at Spring Creek project was the transformation of a 40 acre farm site into a 151 lot single family residential community. The Rachel crews completed all of the site utility installation, mass grading, demolition and street construction. Wet weather was a challenge to keeping this project on schedule. The tractor and pans were used on this site to complete the 230,000 cy of excavation required to meet the new grades. Most of the excess topsoil was used in green spaces around the site and compactable clay was excavated and used to construct the house pads and streets. The street work was split into 2 phases. The existing frontage road Spring Creek Drive was widened and re-paved for driveway access. The second phase of asphalt completed a connection to the neighborhood to the east. Another aspect of the project was installation of 2000 cy of filtration soils and access trails for future city maintenance. Rachel also hired out the construction of 3 block retaining walls throughout the site.
