Rachel Contracting was awarded the Arden Park Restoration project in December of 2018. The critical step to this project was to re-route the existing creek bed and install the stabilization features along the banks. This proved to be a challenging task as Mother Nature provided unseasonable snowfall amounts and high water levels following the Spring thaw. The crews were able to find creative ways to overcome these hurdles to complete the creek work prior to the fish spawning restriction dates set forth by the Minnesota DNR. A large coordination effort was crucial to completing all aspects of the project from site grading to final plantings. Multiple contractors worked onsite concurrently as the park and building contracts claimed the same work schedules. The project is in its final stages of completion; Scheduled May of 2020.
