The City of Riverdale, North Dakota needed to improve and replace the city’s sanitary sewer system and Rachel submitted the low bid to complete the project. With a tight schedule, not only did the Rachel crew have to work against time, they also had to fight Mother Nature! The project started on October 24th, 2018 and finished with the last new manhole, connections, and pipe on November 12th, 2018. The crew utilized two excavators to complete the work ahead of time and ahead of budget. The challenge on these types of projects is being in remote areas where materials needed may not be available for days. Rachel’s project superintendent was able to forecast his alignment to obtain the right materials ahead of time, to accommodate the different materials that were encountered for making connections.
