Rachel Contracting was hired by Big-D Construction to perform the demolition of the existing buildings, site grading and site utilities. This is a two phase project, where the demolition crew demolished the first building in Phase one. Demolition of the second building will be in Phase two. Site grading for a new parking lot and footing excavation and backfill of the new Wells Fargo building was also part of the first Phase of this project. A senior living will be in Phase two in 2024. The large portion of the site utilities consisted of installing the 84″ CMP underground stormwater system. Site utilities also involved watermain, sanitary and storm sewer. Phase one will be completed late Fall 2023 with Phase two taking place in 2024.
